History of Beaverton, Oregon
Beaverton is the 6th largest city in the state of Oregon. It was incorporated in 1893 and has its own police department, school district, and water services. Annual events are aplenty here, and I encourage you to visit the Beaverton Chamber of Commerce website for details.
The city is a great mix of newer homes and mid-century modern homes. Can you imagine, already talking about “mid-century” … referring to the 1950’s?
Unfortunately, Beaverton didn’t preserve it’s rich downtown heart. Only a few of the late 1800’s, early 1900’s home and businesses remain.
However, there has been redevelop of Beaverton City Center, with a new library, and a newer development “The Round” located near town hall with a good mix of office space, condo living, right on the MAX line, both of which are exceptional!
